I like the thin nature of this super-sticky tape, but it comes in just 1 size, and has a super-thin backing, with just 1 cut down the center, so that's the only place you can detach from. I really prefer the beige roll of scartape Amazon sells. It's a LOT more tape with a fabulous matrix that you can easily cut into any size & shape, and easily re-use. But clear tape may work better for some skin tones, especially if your scar is covered, so the sun won't harm it. (No sun should be on scars for the first year [unless you have sunscreeno n there], ideally, so beige tape is safer.) I ended up using the matrix from the other roll to try & create proper pieces of this tape, but it's hard to do (since this tape is so sticky and thin). One positive about this tape is that each piece is individually sealed in an air-tight envelope, so it won't go "old" (lose its tackiness over time, like the roll will). For the roll, I keep it in a tight baggie, and I eventually had to start heating the piece of tape I am using (with blow dryer) to ensure it won't start lifting up at the corners. The other brand (beige roll of scartape) has loads of tape, so you can share with friends & neighbors! I can't tell which works better, in terms of scars looking better. The effects are mild on most scars, but some of my old scars do seem to disappear, so I'm putting these tapes all over!

These do seem to be helping fade a surgery scar I have. I had something removed by a Dermatologist on my hand in June 2022. They stay on pretty well. I do try not to get them too wet. They start peeling off after about a day & a half.

My occupational therapist suggested these after post-op incision healed, but it's too soon to know how effective they are at minimizing the scar. I gave them 4 stars because they're a little hard to get off the backing and to apply without crinkling , tho the adhesive has held well once on. In all fairness, I'm using them on a new scar from surgery on my dominant hand, which is not yet fully flexible. So, the fault could lie with the user...

I bought this since I am allergic to bandaid adhesive which causes skin irritation to the point of another wound. The ScarAway works well for adhesion and then directly on healing spots once the wound is closed. I am using it for some skin cancer treated spots and the skin is healing about twice as fast and I am treating a few older scars with some improvement. 10 days of wear and absolutely no irritation.

I've been hesitant to leave a review on this item, because it's clear it can take several months to be effective, and it has only been two weeks in my case. But I'm already seeing results, and so I wanted to leave a positive review. I have a long scar down my chest from Open Heart Surgery, and like many, the bottom couple of inches is tender, thick, reddened. After two weeks of the strips it seems to be flattening out, and is a LOT LESS sensitive! I'm looking forward to what it's like at the 90 day mark.

I have scoured the internet and used every cream, serum, and lotion I could get my hands on (Bio Oil, prescription grade tretinoin, retinol, Scar Away cream, silicone patches, Vaseline, Aquaphor, hyaluronic acid serum, Neosporin) in the quest to get rid of red new stretch marks that appeared on my lower stomach. Nothing, and I repeat, nothing has worked as well as these patches have. They are literally smoothing over the scars and they are no longer red but a light pink and it's only been a few days.

I don't know if it helps the scars fade exactly, but it *does* shrink them (I'm having better fading results with a cream). I had a pretty gnarly post-hysterectomy scar that was raised and bumpy, and wearing these for a few weeks flattened it out so it's now smooth. The adhesion is decent, but tends to roll if you're pulling a waistband up and down them a lot, like pants or leggings. No problem showering with them, though. I never got them to last 10 days, more like 5-7.
