I have purchased two of these LED bulbs for a motorcycle. The first LED light I purchased, I was testing the brightness of the light and ran the light at slightly more than 14.5 volts. The light failed. So I repurchased the LED light because I did like the light intensity the light produced with 12 VDC applied to the light. I ensured the light was regulated to 11.8 VDC when I installed the new light. The new light lasted about 2 days then failed. When inspecting the LED light failure, I found there was an internal short to the base of the LED light. The light will function with one set of COB lights when power is across the low beam pin and the metal base of the LED light. I will not buy these LED lights again.

Update: low beam burnt out in a year and I don't even use the car at night that often.

Came in a fancy looking box with no damage.
They fit well and are a big improvement over regular light bulbs and the fins will hopefully keep them lasting long, having the fins on the inside will help if you have a case, limited space or a boot that goes over the back of the bulb to keep moisture out like I did.

So I bought this for a yamaha tw200 motorcycle. I'll start with the positives. It seems to be well made. I certainly had no problems with build quality and the heat sink around the base looks nicely made and somewhat heavy. The LEDs all work and are bright. As far as output, it is slightly brighter than my stock incandescent bulb however the high beam is basically no different that the low beam. The biggest negative I have is that it isnt that much brighter than stock. Not enough to warrant me leaving it in and having basically no high beam. Other than that my only other problem with it is that my headlight housing has a small tab on the inside that wouldnt let the bulb seat in the housing and I'm definitely not going to go grinding away at my headlight housing so I took a dremel and ground two of the heat sink fins down and that let the tab slide into the slot I made in the heatsink. It definitely works and considering it is mildly brighter than stock I really cant complain to much considering the only other issue I ran into was related to the bike and not the bulb. Still overall I wouldnt reccomend this bulb because it just isnt that much brighter than stock incandescent.

OK, spend over $300 for a new LED sealed headlight OR keep my housing and for less than $20, replace the halogen with LED and ride on. Well, I spent less than $20 and could not be happier. The light pattern is similar to the halogen bulb bit this light has LED's on three sides and spreads the pattern across the entire reflecting surface like the halogen did but it's much brighter. I set the bike up where I've normally adjust the height of the light and it's dead on accurate with no adjustments needed. I wasn't expecting to move anything but different bulbs can cause adjustments to be needed...not in this case. I'm very pleased with the results and would recommend this three sided LED in a heartbeat.

Put this light in my 04 Honda Superhawk. So easy.
All my vehicles have LED headlights including another motorcycle.
Tried something different this time: a three-sided LED unit.
The brightness, on low, was....lacking....the hi-beam was pathetic; not there.
On all my LED choices, low beam, usually, is all you need. Not this time.
For 18 bucks I will not bother to send it back. I will put the halogen back in and
look for something else.

I wish I had saved some video from my “super slow” rides home in the dark prior to this.
I have to say, I installed it yesterday and was excited to take it out after it got dark. Unfortunately, when I took it out, it was pathetic. I couldn’t see a thing. I was actually considering putting my old bulb back in, but then I started thinking about checking the adjustment, different bulbs=different adjustment, so I adjusted the headlight setting while watching YouTube videos and ........bam......... that thing looks so good now it makes me tear up a little. The bright setting doesn’t do as much as I thought it might, but it does fill in the gaps that the low beam might have. Awesome purchase after all!!! I love it.

I installed this on my Hawk 250 motorcycle. The first thing that I noticed with this bulb installed was that the high beam was no brighter than the low beam. I couldn't see any further down the road on the bright setting. I'd already returned a similarly priced but different brand bulb that was disappointing for the same reason.

Per the recommendation of another Hawk 250 owner I bought a replacement bulb unit from superbrightleds. Their high-end motorcycle model is about $50 with shipping. Though more than twice as expensive both beams are infinitely brighter, with the bright beam really lighting up the road. In addition, both the low and high settings have beam patterns exactly as expected. The low beam has a flat cut-off on the top to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. The high beam is more round and shines both further and wider, allowing me to not only see further down the road but also what is on both sides of the pavement. Like those pesky deer that on a motorcycle mean serious injury.

Great LED bulb for BMW R NineT R9T

Direct replacement, easy installation. Great looking LED on and off. The Silver housing is a perfect compliment to a BMW R9T (2014 - 2018) headlight unit. Looks very much as a factory OEM replacement. Not sure about longevity yet, had it for a week so far with no warning lights of any kind. However, the high light did not work at first but after restarting the bike, it works fine. Flash to pass, High and Low beam all work as it should no no cooling issues. Headlight is cooler than the factory halogen based touching the headlight unit after a few hours of riding. Highly Recommended.

Review is for 2019 Yamaha MT07. The low beam is great. Spreads real nice, nothing weird about it, brighter than stock. However, the high beam is basically worthless. It doesn’t project light and differently, it just increases brightness overall by like maybe 10%. The photos don’t do it justice, but when I was out riding around, I couldn’t tell a lick of difference between high and low. With the OEM halogen, there was a definite difference between high/low, with the high lighting up signs a lot further down the road, and projecting higher off the ground. Not so with this LED bulb. Returning for that, because LEDs last the life of the bike, and seeing/being seen is critical on a motorcycle.
