How to set up USB Recording on your Yealink T29G:
First, format a USB Thumb in DOS FAT format (NTFS WILL NOT WORK), and plug the drive in the port on the underside of the phone.
Next, You Need to Program Your Phone to Record to USB:
First, you need to create a simple text file with the text that follows between the “====”
features.usb_call_recording.enable = 1
Save this file to the name “callrecording.cfg”. The file should contain only the text shown, and no word processing application characters (i.e. use notepad to create)
Next, log into the admin screen for your phone via a web interface (admin/admin):
then the green “Settings” tab on the top menu
then select the “Configuration” sub-menu on the left hand vertical list of options
then press the “Choose File” button next to “Import CFG Configuration File “
Finally press the “Import button”
That is all there is to it. On my phone, I have to press “More” (far right) to get the record menu. Forgot to say...You have to wait for the caller to answer before the "More" menu appears on the far right.
