It is not. BEWARE.
On the box itself, it clearly states the dimensions as being 24" - 36" (H), 21" - 33" (W), and 16.5" (D). Completely off from description.
The top bars which hold the keyboard are 16.5" depth, but the leg bars that hold up the stand are about 21". At the lowest height setting, the top bar's end extends over the legs slightly, so this stand actually takes up, at minimum, a 22" - 23" depth by however much width you set the stand to. Beware of this when sizing up where the stand would fit in your space.
This is a heavy duty stand that seems like it was intended for large spaces and/or stages. It's a very good product - well made, sturdy, and solid construction. Most of all, it's easy to assemble.
But it's not what I thought I ordered. Based on other reviews posted recently, it seems they updated the stand itself while still using the same model number. Hence the confusion and wrong product descriptions. Come on, Yamaha. New model should mean new model numbers.
I ended up buying a "Plixio Piano Keyboard Stand - Z-Style" from Amazon and the Plixio is a perfect fit for playing the Yamaha P-121/125 from a sitting position. The Plixio is rock solid and easy to assemble. The Plixio is about $20 more, but it works and fits.
