Clean the wall with a duster or dry microfiber cloth before applying the wallpaper. Plan out your design and avoid readjusting the wallpaper once its inplace on the wall. Measure twice and use a pair of sharp scissors or an exacto knife to make clean cuts. Definitely start with a corner first and pull the backing diagonally until the entire top portion of the wallpaper is stuck to the wall. I used a plastic somewhat-flexible putty scraper to smooth out the wallpaper as I went along. I think it's really important not to remove a lot of the backing covering the adhesive before your ready to stick it to the wall. I recommend overlapping wallpaper a bit and not just placing pieces next to each other. For this wallpaper, I overlapped the pieces on the greenish-blue portion to camouflage the seam as much as possible. The pattern on the grey/white portion shows the seam, so I planned my cuts accordingly.
