I am intolerant to wheat and my symptoms include severe bloating, abdominal pain and upset tummy. I follow a gluten-free diet. I wanted to try this product to see if it would allow me to eat 'normal food' when travelling abroad next month, just to make things easier.
I very nervously bought a normal pizza yesterday to experiment and took 2 tablets with the first bite (instructions said to take 1, but I wasn't taking any chances!). Long story short, I would say the Extra Strength tablets 'controlled the reaction' to the gluten. Perhaps naiively, I was expecting to have zero symptoms 🤔. My stomach did bloat and gurgle, I had slight discomfort and it did feel tight and hard, just alot less so than normal. Rightly or wrongly, I took another tablet after eating to see if it would take these symptoms away, it didn't.
This morning (the morning after), tummy is still bloated and feeling a bit sore and bruised, for lack of a better word.
I hesitated for weeks before trying this product, as it's a lot of money to waste if they don't work.
Bottom line, for me, I'm disappointed. They definitely don't work well enough for me to want to use them to have an occasional real pizza or garlic bread (as in some reviews I've read). But worked well enough to cope if I was in a situation where gluten-free food was not available.
